Embedded GUI that holds up in volume: five production practices from QuaGL Engine

2026-09-10 · Industry

In volume, the interface drops frames, tears, or runs out of memory. Graphics acceleration follows what the chip can do.

QuaGL Engine is QuaMing's graphics engine. It schedules 2D, 2.5D, and 3D work onto the hardware the chip actually has, and it is configured for the resolution, frame rate, power, and memory of the product. It does not replace LVGL, AWTK, or Qt.

On adapted platforms, the article reports CPU use falling from above 30 percent to under 5 percent, with a 60 fps target; touch response within 50 ms on some projects; and, on tight configurations such as 8 MB of flash and 64 MB of memory, flash use down by more than 30 percent and memory use down by more than 20 percent. Those gains depend on the feature set and the build.

The engine has been adapted on IPC, price tags, vehicle clusters, and smart locks, including heat, long runs, low-power wake, and panel compatibility.
