QuaMing and Bibow Semiconductor: QMF1 for the last step of embodied AI
2026-09-10 · Company
With Bibow, QMF1 goes on a robot so it can see the path and move.
The published piece is about the gap between seeing an obstacle and moving the wheels. QuaMing's part is QMF1, with a WebRTC stack, working with Bibow's 5G RF-SoC.
QMF1 in that piece: eight A53 cores at 1.7 GHz plus a RISC-V coprocessor, a TPU at 20 TOPS INT8, ISP for six sensors at 12 megapixels and 30 fps HDR, H.264/H.265 decode up to 1080p at 480 fps, memory up to 16 GB LPDDR4x, storage up to 2 TB eMMC, and interfaces that include dual gigabit Ethernet, PCIe 3.0 x2, SATA, USB 3.1, and CAN FD.
The point of the chip, as written there, is that detection and a light decision stay on the device when the network drops. QMF1 is INT8 20 TOPS.
